ECO Biobased Renewable Glycols

A range of high performance petroleum-free, inhibited heat transfer fluids and antifreeze - for process cooling, process heating and renewable energy applications.

Delivering the performance benefits of ethylene glycol with the non-toxicity and safety of propylene glycol, the ECO range of thermal fluids utilize 100% bio-based Susterra® propanediol (1,3-propanediol or PDO) a petroleum-free ingredient. The renewable glycols are non-toxic, food-safe and readily biodegradable. Formulated with ASTM D1384 proven inhibitor package, to provide comprehensive system protection.

Hydratech’s ECO plant-based glycols are formulated to utilize the extensive environmental advantages and significant performance gains of Susterra® PDO. Susterra® propanediol generates up to 84% less greenhouse gas emissions and consumes 70% less non-renewable energy from cradle-to-gate, compared to petroleum-based propylene glycol (PG), a common glycol sourced alternative.

Coolflow ECO heat transfer fluid (HTF) is effective in many low-temperature applications including, food & beverage process cooling, closed-loop/water-based HVAC, and data center cooling.

In high-heat applications such as solar and geothermal process heating, Solaris ECO (Solar) and Thermox^® ECO (Geothermal), improve thermal stability and last longer than propylene glycol based fluids.
