As well as performing its primary role of temporarily absorbing captured heat and transferring it to points of usage, a heat transfer fluid (thermal transfer fluid, glycol, brine etc) must also be a reliable antifreeze and offer effective corrosion protection. The type of fluid selected and installed can have a direct and long-lasting impact on heat pump system performance, longevity, output, energy, and down-time.

Especially formulated for ground source heat pumps and underfloor heating circuits, Thermox DTX^® is a non-toxic heat transfer fluid offering frost protection down to -50°c. All Thermox^® products are formulated with long-life inhibitors to prevent internal corrosion, scaling and biological fouling.

Launched in 2010, Thermox DTX^® represents a major step forward in heat transfer and pumping efficiency, providing >10% increase in geothermal heat recovery when compared with Propylene Glycol based fluids.
