Corrosion, scale and biological issues can often be corrected by adding appropriate doses of booster inhibitor(s). Hydratech manufacture many different inhibitor formulations for regular or shot dosing of closed loop cooling and heating systems. A team of experienced, highly skilled engineers also provide a range of specialist fluid treatment services including:

• Closed loop system fluid testing & analysis
• Reconditioning & remediation of contaminated closed circuit systems
• Design, manufacture and installation of side-stream filtration
• Inhibitor treatment of water-based heat transfer fluids

Maintaining optimal system condition via Hydratech's Fluid Monitoring Program

By taking a proactive approach to working fluid analysis, those responsible for managing or maintaining cooling and heating systems can detect issues early and take remedial action, before fluid efficiency and system condition are compromised. Even when heat transfer fluids have been carefully selected and commissioned, they can still be prone to degradation - leading to loss of heat transfer capacity, unplanned maintenance, and costly shutdowns.

Hydratech’s in-house laboratory carries out analytical fluid testing of hydronic system fluids to identify water contaminates, bacterial presence, water treatment levels or the make-up of elements.

Operation of the Fluid Monitoring Program (FMP) is very straight forward. Customers are supplied with pre-packaged and labelled bottles for sample collecting and despatching to Hydratech's in-house laboratory.

Following testing, a Hydratech engineer will issue a Fluid Monitoring Program report - to confirm coolant and system condition (concentration, pH, total dissolved solids, turbidity etc) and where appropriate any recommended action. Hydratech recommend quarterly sampling, in accordance with BSRIA and British Standard BS8552 guidelines.
